Where the Wind Blows
A Love Letter to Life

ARTIST MESSAGE
There are instances when, without any rhyme or reason, our hearts are met with a powerful urge.
It is as if being we're swept up in a strong breeze.
This wind freely passing through me makes its way into my heart.

At such times, I am always amazed by the sensations felt throughout my body.
I am made aware of every minute sensation within my being. From the soles of my feet to the palms of my hands, from the visual to the auditory, I notice them all.

It is always at these such moments when life truly moves.
This energy that springs forth at such moments will be fully made manifest within a single hotel banquet hall.
It is my desire that those who attend can recall their own feelings and sensations.
Everyone who attending will receive a unique message card written by me. It is my love letter to you all. Please, take the one which speaks out to you.

ARTIST

Sayuri

Sayuri was born in Haki in Asakura City, Fukuoka prefecture.
At fourteen, she saw a man on TV in Tokyo helping people on the street by listening to their various complaints. Seeing this greatly inspired her, and she did the same thing in her hometown. This experience further inspired her to start passionately writing down her feelings in a sketchbook.
The ink and brush became her life after experiencing how powerfully her works impacted those who came in contact with them.
In recent years, her live-painting performances have become even more emotive. She channels the energies of both her audience and location, then manifests them all through her paintings.

"I wish to ever savor the vitality present in this moment.
It is as if my heart were soaring.
It is as if my soul were singing."
